Analysis of river deadwood dynamics in the context of a major 1.5 km decommissioning project on the Saint-Jean River, Gaspé

Research summary

The Saint-Jean River in Gaspé is experiencing issues with deadwood and the presence of ice jams blocking certain channels.

These logjams affect river flow, riverbank erosion and the presence of salmon in the river.

This project is co-directed by Thomas Buffin-Bélanger (UQAR).
